Marnie Maurri

Marnie, an Artist & Illustrator living in Worcestershire, specialises in highly detailed illustrations, each one telling a story (or two)!

Her work is a whimsical combination of adorable characters, intricate details, and magical settings, very much inspired by nature and the natural world, often mixing the human and animal/botanical worlds to create a beautifully playful environment where foxes ride bicycles, the moon always has a happy face, there are windows in clouds, octopus wear bowler hats and serve afternoon tea to mermaids, and colours are Technicolour-vivid.

A Theatre Design post-graduate of The Slade School of Art, she is more than comfortable flitting between scales, from model making to scene painting back in the day, and she now works from her home-studio, dividing her time between painting bespoke private residential commissions, creating pieces for her online store and illustration portfolio, illustrating the occasional children’s book, and painting giant sculptures for public art trails.
