Set in a beautiful 360-hectare estate near Gloucestershire, Hartpury is home to over 4,600 students from over 60 countries. Established after World War II, the university and college offer the opportunity study PhDs, postgraduate/undergraduate degrees, diplomas in subjects including agriculture, animal, equine, sport, veterinary, nursing and business, as well as A-levels and T-levels. Hartpury is committed to promoting equality, valuing diversity and fostering respect for all.

The Pride of Gloucestershire Trail will be live from July to September this year, followed by a fantastic farewell event where the community will have the chance to meet all of our magnificent lions and little lion cubs. The campaign will come to an exciting end with a live auction where the people can bid to take home their favourite sculpture! The funds raised from Lions at Large will go towards transforming cancer care through the development of a modern, new state-of-the-art facility.

Nikki Budding, Sponsorship and Business Engagement Officer at Hartpury University and Hartpury College said:

“It’s a great honour for Hartpury to be involved with this colourful and creative community campaign. Through this partnership, we’re not only celebrating creativity and community spirit, but also making a meaningful impact on local healthcare and recognising the incredible work of the Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity. We can’t wait to see the lions take to the streets this summer!”

Karen Organ, Partnership Manager at Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity, said: “We are delighted to announce Hartpury University and Hartpury College as our sponsor. Their dedication to education and inspiring future generations aligns beautifully with the spirit of this trail to encourage learning, creativity and community connection. Their support will not only add to the pride of this incredible project, but also help The Big Space Cancer Appeal build a bigger, brighter home for cancer treatment for local patients, their families and the staff who care for them.”
