Andre Klein, Assistant General Manager at Cheltenham Racecourse said:
“The racecourse has played integral role in the town life, since the popular pastime of horse racing came to the fore locally in Regency times. Through recent community initiatives, like the Gold Cup Centenary Fund, we are proud to support a wide array of good causes and charities throughout the year. It is particularly important to all of our team, that we get behind this monumental fundraising effort. It is an incredible project, and we are proud to be working alongside so many others with the singular goal of delivering what will become such an important asset for the town in future years.”
The Pride of Gloucestershire Trail is raising funds for The Big Space Cancer Appeal; helping to build a bigger, brighter home for cancer care for patients across the county and beyond.
Karen Organ, Partnership Manager at Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have Cheltenham Racecourse on board as a sponsor. Having such an iconic Cheltenham landmark is just fantastic and their commitment to backing local causes is invaluable. With funds raised going towards a new, state-of-the-art cancer centre at Cheltenham General Hospital – just a short distance from the racecourse – this partnership is a winning combination to help transform the lives of all those in our community.”
