The renowned Cotswold Gallery is the latest local business to sign up and join the pride!
The Lions at Large Trail will see over 30 large lion sculptures designed and painted by local artists; celebrating Gloucestershire’s rich history, culture and diversity.
Housed in a listed barn, Little Buckland Gallery is a contemporary art gallery nestled within the picturesque countryside of the Cotswolds. The gallery works with acclaimed artists across a range of different media and specialises in largely abstract art. The gallery is owned by local artist and curator Arabella Kiszely.
Arabella loved the idea of The Pride of Gloucestershire Trail showcasing the local arts scene, whilst also promoting emerging and established artists in the area.
“I am delighted to have the opportunity of supporting this project as I owe my life to the wonderful care I received at Cheltenham General Hospital. I would also like to use this as an opportunity to help support people recovering from cancer and rethinking the words we use when addressing this.”
Carrie Smith, Project Manager at Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity, said:
“We are thrilled to have Little Buckland on board as a sponsor. We have already seen a huge wealth of support from the arts community with over 200 artists registered! We want to display these incredible sculptures in open public spaces; helping to make beautiful art accessible to everyone and inspire people across the county. But it is only thanks to support from local businesses like Little Buckland Gallery that we can make this happen.”
